Please be aware that we are currently experiencing high numbers of applications and processing times may be longer due to this.

Please be patient and bear with us. We request that you do not contact us to check the status of your application unless you have an urgent housing need or threat of homelessness. This will enable us to deal with your application as quickly as we can. Should you wish to check the status of your application, you are able to do so by logging into your Lincs Homefinder account.

Your cooperation is appreciated and you will be notified as soon as your application has been assessed.

We would request that our customers be polite and respectful to our Teams when they are trying to assist you.

Unacceptable, abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

Please remember we are here to help you but cannot always provide you with the outcome you would like.

Applicants with NKDC

Please note applicants should only place bids for vacancies they genuinely wish to be considered for.  If you are successful for a property after placing a bid, unless the property would be classed as unsuitable it will be classed as a ‘reasonable refusal’ and will count as one of your two qualifying offers of accommodation.

Those applicants who have an active homeless application and who have been awarded priority to reflect this will receive One offer of accommodation only under Homeless Provisions.

Our Offices are now open Mon – Wed 9am – 5pm on an appointment basis only.

Please do not attend in person unless you have an appointment booked with a specific date & time.  Should you require assistance please contact the Housing Options Team T:01529 414155 or email housingoptions@n-kesteven.gov.uk

Applicants with City of Lincoln Council

No ‘walk-in’ service will be available for the Housing Solutions Team. City Hall is open for a limited service on an appointment only basis.  Appointments will ONLY be offered on an exceptional basis for matters that cannot be dealt with by telephone or email.  Bids should be placed via accessing your online account or can be placed by calling the number below.

Welcome to Lincshomefinder

Lincs Homefinder is a partnership between City of Lincoln Council and North Kesteven District Council.

Once you register your household with Lincs Homefinder you can then complete an online application form to join the housing register for either or both authorities. Once your application has been activated, subject to passing qualification criteria, you can use this website to search and bid for properties in the City of Lincoln and/or North Kesteven areas.

We operate separate allocation policies for each authority under the one website. Both Council’s operate choice based lettings schemes, which means you have more flexibility in choosing which areas you wish to live, within each authority district. If you wish to be considered by both COLC & NKDC you will receive two separate assessments and your eligibility & priority for types of accommodation may be different for each.

You can use the information pages to find out more about how each authority allocates their properties and useful information you may need to submit an application successfully.
